DiverseCity in Civic Leadership

Leaders in public office have influence that goes far beyond the ability to affect government decision-making and policy development. As our representatives, they are – or should be – a reflection of their communities. The absence of this risks undermining the very principles of democracy.

DiverseCity in Civic Leadership recognizes the need to ensure that our public leaders represent all of us. By identifying and training diverse leaders to run or manage election campaigns, the initiative aims to ensure that our political process meets the needs of all Canadians.
