Leadership is not a solo sport; it is a team sport.
“Being inclusive in leadership is critical. Leadership is not a solo sport — leadership is a team game. A high-performing team is an inclusive one, and a high-performing team is a very elusive thing to have.”
“I will rarely ever refuse to meet with someone who is referred to me because you never really know when you will find the next person who will make a huge difference in your organization. I have always, I believe, always tried to find people in the organizations that I work in who show that spark, that interest, and give them that additional responsibility, take that chance.”
“My advice to emerging leaders would be to not be cautious in asking for opportunities. Ask for an opportunity and you’ll likely surprise yourself.”
